Fork this page

suppose the IMDb
encouraged fans to create fanpages
for their favorite movies and stars

fanpages combining
existing imdb data/elements
with newly added content
and links

so instead of always-uniform formatting
you could choose to browse
enthusiasts' views

so instead of just
writing a review
when you're impressed by a movie
you compile a page
echoing the imdb facts
you judge worth echoing

and cross-referencing
with your own related pages

and ditto for books
music
politics
news
philosophy
porn
etc

each new webpage framed
with its pluripedia alternates

with browsers offering a
'fork this page' button
that registers each forked page
as another alternate

and encourages
copy/add/delete/edit
of old and new page elements

and also maybe
a 'forkify these two tines' button
that declares two existing pages
to be virtually forked

turning wikipedia into pluripedia
requires that each article
accumulate links to all forks

most forks hosted
at pluripedia
but some perhaps not

so that wikipedia's current
arbitrary
policy of
not
trying to link
all related pages
would be explicitly abandoned
